Fundraise For Sight Research UK By Skydiving

To all thrill seekers out there, welcome!

If you have ever wanted to challenge yourself to the limit, experience the buzz of floating through the air (safely!), all the while supporting the next breakthrough in eye research, you've landed on the right page.  If you want to experience the electrifying sensation of jumping from 10,000 feet by taking part in a sponsored tandem skydive, we salute and thank you!

Sight Research UK has partnered with skydiving organiser company Skyline which operates from 20 airfields all over the UK. To book the thrill of a lifetime, book your tandem skydive here with Skyline.

Every single penny you raise will help us to invest in research for new sight-saving treatments. Thank you.

Please take a look at the information below and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries.

What is the minimum fundraising target?

The cost of paying for the jump is included in your fundraising target. The minimum target is £395 which is split in three parts:

  • £70 (+ a £1.50 booking fee) is the deposit payable when you make your booking with Skyline
  • £200 jump cost (please note that some airfields have different fundraising targets, so please check on the Skyline website for the fee of your chosen location). Once you have reached your minimum fundraising target, Skyline will invoice us directly for the cost of the jump.
  • £125 is the minimum that would help support eye research. If you raise more than £395, we would receive any additional sponsorship, too.

How do I set up an online fundraising page?

Take a look at our handy tips on fundraising for your challenge. From raffles, to quiz nights with your friends and family, bake sales and much more!

The easiest way to collect your sponsorship is through an online fundraising page. There are lots of different online fundraising platforms, but it is quickest for us to be able to process donations with JustGiving. Keeping our admin costs to a minimum means that more of your money goes straight to eye research. Make sure you select Sight Research UK as your charity when setting up your page.

If you have any questions or issues when setting up an online fundraising page, just get in touch with us and we'll be happy to go through the set up process with you.
